I am checking a car rental for Chiang Rai Airport and want to know more about the Additional Insurance of Allianz.

But on the same page ... I am also seeing: Rental Car Excess Insurance (optional) by Allianz. Can i assume Excess is not included for free?

No, it is an extra insurance that you can add. You will be charged extra for this Insurance.

When I click important information on your website I read: Excess; The car has a damage excess of THB 5000.0 (Excludes tax) and a theft excess of THB 5000.0 (Includes tax). Please ensure that you have the excess amount available on your card when you pick up the car. I thought Theft protection is included. But why there is a theft excess of THB 5000?

The included insurance is basic. The extra insurance will also cover the excess. When you take the extra insurance online you are all protected.

Collision Damage Waiver and Theft Protection are included with this car. So even without getting additional insurance ... theft protection is included, right?
